When cm studio heard about the June sales at Supa Centa Moore Park we saw this as a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone, picking up a few amazing bargains to help fit out our new office space, as well as taking the time to do some sourcing for a number of new projects. With such a wide breadth of stores, covering everything from tap wear, to barbeques, and everything in between, and with so many sales taking place, we were not short changed for ideas.
Out first point of call was Bo Concepts, which had a fantastic sale taking place on a range of designer items. There were a number of pieces that caught our eye, including an interesting dining room pendant, currently 20% off, as well a number of beautiful sheep skins which are always a great accent piece for any space. Bo Concepts also offers a terrific selection of luscious leathers and soft felt fabrics to upholster their range, well presented, and easily accessible in the space. It is always a treat to be able to examine samples such as these on a larger scale, as it makes it far easier to visualise the final product, especially for clients.
From there we moved on to Wintons Teak, a surprising find that had a diverse range of simple, well designed outdoor furniture on sale. We are always on the lookout for outdoor furniture for projects as it is often difficult to find pieces with a more modern twist that are not well outside the client’s budget.
However Wintons Teak was stocked with a number of great options, some at an enticing 50% off, including the Salma Sail Alu Stacking Armchair, which at $192 each, paired perfectly with the Carvi outdoor dining table. We were also quite impressed with the Fynn Low Seater, which may be finding its way in to one of our projects very soon, perfect for relaxing on an open terrace on a warm summer evening.
Our next stop was Barbeques Galore, which was also having a fantastic sale on a range of built in and free standing home BBQs. A great BBQ often forms the centrepiece of the outdoor spaces of our client’s homes, and it was a good opportunity to have a look at a wider range of models on the market. We were also excited to stumble across the Zeigler and Brown range of outdoor rangehoods, something we have been trying to source for some time.
As we shifted our focus from clients projects to our new office fit out, Harvey Norman was next on our list. This was a must stop shop for stocking up on office essentials. With a huge range of goods on sale across the entire store, we were able to pick up a number of key items, including a heavily discounted Westinghouse bar fridge, and a soda stream. Always good to keep the clients happy and hydrated during long design meetings. Luckily enough for us there was also a selection of computer monitors on sale in a range of sizes that were perfect for our new space, and quickly made it on to our shopping list.
The final stop before calling it a day was Freedom. With signs such as “Absolutely Everything On Sale” how could we resist. We thought that this would be a great place to put the finishing touches on the new office space with some soft furnishings, as well as stocking the new kitchenette with some lovely cups and plates. Browsing the wide selection of goods on sale, we came across the Madras Round Floor Rug 155cm, which at a reduced price of $169.09 quickly made its way in to our shopping basket. The Madras round made up part of the larger range of fantastic well priced, simple, chunky sisal rugs, that will be soon finding their way in to our projects. To pair with the Madras round we were also excited to discover the elegant Pico Floor Lamp which, with a reduced price of $188.29, will sit very nicely in our new studio space. To finish off the finds for the day we stocked up on a selection of hand finished matte white Series plates, bowls and mugs, the final touch for our new space.
We had an excellent experience at the Supa Centa, filled with exciting discoveries, and great bargains. cm studio cannot wait to get in to our new office space and fill it up with all of our fantastic finds.
