At Supa Centa Moore Park, we enjoy making design more accessible — and this winter, we’re inviting you to connect with creativity in a new way. As part of our free Supa Sculpted Moments exhibition, we’re hosting exclusive Meet the Maker talks with renowned Australian sculptors.
These intimate sessions offer the chance to hear directly from the artists as they walk you through the inspiration, materials, and themes behind their work. It’s a rare opportunity to learn how sculptors bring form and feeling together — all within the familiar surrounds of your favourite interiors destination. While you’re here to meet the makers, take time to explore over 25 stunning sculptures on display throughout the centre.

Meet the Curator: Omar Viglino
Curated by Sydney-based artist Omar Viglino, Supa Sculpted Moments brings together a diverse array of sculptures that explore the interplay between art and everyday life. With a background that spans both sculpture and curatorial practice, Omar brings a uniquely hands-on perspective to the exhibition — one that balances aesthetic sensibility with emotional impact.
Many of the artists featured in Sculpted Moments are long-time peers or collaborators of Omar’s, allowing for a deep connection between the works. His thoughtful selections encourage visitors to slow down and engage — not just with the art, but with the space itself. As people move through the centre, sculptures emerge unexpectedly from familiar areas, creating moments of pause in the middle of daily life.

This sense of contrast — and connection is woven throughout the exhibition. Under Omar’s direction, the centre has been transformed into more than just a place to shop. It’s become a walkable, living gallery that invites everyone to experience art in a way that feels grounded, personal, and refreshingly unpretentious.
Themes the Artists Explore
The sculptures featured in Supa Sculpted Moments delve into deeply personal and philosophical themes:
- Memory and Identity: Exploring the fragmented and abstracted human form
- Balance and Movement: Utilising materials that challenge perceptions of weight and tension
- Nature and the Built World: Merging organic shapes with industrial materials
- Stillness and Presence: Encouraging viewers to slow down and engage with the present moment
Each sculpture tells its own story, inviting you to pause, notice, and reflect.

Materials used by the Artists
The materials featured in Sculpted Moments are as expressive as the artworks themselves — from the timeless elegance of bronze and resin, to the striking interplay of steel, stone, and glass. Some artists surprise with recycled or natural elements, challenging ideas of texture, value, and permanence. Often, the material becomes part of the message: weighty forms appear light, and coarse textures bring softness to a space.
If you’re considering sculpture for your home, start by following your instincts. Choose pieces that resonate emotionally. Consider the scale and placement — how a work will live in your space and interact with light, surfaces, and other objects. Don’t be afraid to mix materials and textures, and remember: even a small sculpture can leave a lasting impression.
